Uselesswizard Season 3 Episode 6

Kevin and I talk about what got him started in miniature painting, how he began to grow as a painter, and what he did when he discovered groups of other miniature painters on Facebook. Being a big fish in a small pond is something that many of us have gone through, and how Kevin dealt with it is a fantastic example.

Kevin had no knowledge of art or color theory when he started painting, so he had several eureka moments. He does tell us about two, in particular, having to do with wet blending and two-brush blending.

We also talked about the importance of painting a smaller number of entries for the miniature painting competitions he enters. Kevin used to enter every competition he could and produce pieces for them all, but he found as his skill grew, he wasn't able to produce
